I know I’m a bit late but better late than never. So yesterday was “DUSSEHRA”

Dussehra is the Indian festival that celebrates triumph of good over evil. I personally love this festive time in the year, everything is just lit up and there is certain buzz in the town. People participate in Ramlila and gather in the ground in order to witness Ravana burn or see the play enacted by seasoned actors.

I, along with my friends made our not so big version of lord Ravana, we worked really hard not to make it look all funny but lol it did look funny as hell. Dropping the picture from yesterday.

Our take on Ravana. Funny though!

Our take on Ravana. Funny though!

There are Durga Puja pandals helping people to relish the festival of food, Navratri is also celebrated as a festival of dance, Dussehra also coincides with Vijaya Dashami, marking the victory of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasur. All of these festivities eventually lead into Dussehra, marking the celebration of Ravan’s defeat at the hands of Lord Rama. 🙂

Happy belated Dussehra people! ❤
